Mission Impossible 3
Staring Tom Cruise

“Hello Mr. Hunt, we like to offer you a free all expenses paid trip to Rome, Italy.”
This
movie is tighter than the others, has a much better storyline and is
action packed but not to the point of the watchers being numb. There’s
romance, love and loss. And a little tear jerking in the few slow
places this movie contains.
Ethan Hunt is out of the game, no
longer in the field. He has become a teacher for the Impossible Mission
Force and is planning on getting married. During an engagement party
the phone rings: “Is this Ethan Hunt?” “Yes, who’s this?” And a
codeword is given.
Finding an excuse to leave the party for a
while, Ethan rushes to a convenience store and meets his contact who
gives some details of a failed mission and a rescue mission put
together. This is the beginning of a large cover up that Ethan must
unravel, while at the same time finding and stealing a technology
called, ‘Rabbit’s Foot’ (a Bio-Hazard item) in the hope of saving his
wife.
Welcome back to the game, Mr. Hunt.
Ethan is a
little harder in this sequel to the bomb known as MI:2. The story is
very cloak and dagger and with enough explosives to make a pyromaniac
smile, including blowing up a beautiful car. And the character, Ethan
Hunt, is pushed to his limits. We learn how the mask is made and how
the voice-tone is downloaded into the microchip.
Very interesting watching.
Plus the movie is a great watch.
Nice
to see a first time director try to bring back the look and feel of the
original. Although it is good on the big screen, I feel the effects
will be wasted on the small screen. Definitely not a DVD to own.
