I really wouldnt call it pop, but its similiar in vein to the Killers first album Hot Fuss.
I'm talking about the second album from Sydney outfit Starky. This is one of the most consistent releases of 2006. Every song is a gem, with a variety of styles. From
Hey Bang Bang to
Beat Ideas, Starky have 80's pop rock down better than the Killers mediocre '06 followup to their earlier hit.
Why these guys havent cracked the big time astounds me? They have the ability, but seemingly its all about marketing these days. Let's hope that common sense soon prevails.
