Something rare has happened ... part two is better than part one. This movie rocked.

Below is a brief review, not sure if it contains spoliers so to be on the safe side (I do not wish to revoke the wrath of everyone here)...

Possible Spoilers *****************

WARNING WARNING WARNING

Here we go......

The movie portrayed spider-man/Peter Parker as a man with a choice. Nothing goes right for the guy, he's always late and looses job after job and is in serious need of cash.

The movie opens and we see the "real" side of Peter's life as Spider-Man and it's not a pretty picture. He has two jobs and is a university student. His grades are falling, he lives in a shit apartment and always late with the rent. He has nothing, his life is squalor and he comes to the realization that he has a choice. He doesn't have to be Spider-Man, and so he quits and throws his suit in the trash.

A change comes over him, he's a different guy, his life starts to get back in focus, he is studying and grades improving. He is a happier man...
But everywhere he goes guilt trips follow him. Everyone wants Spider-Man.

He tries to return to Spider-Man but fails, it is as if that gift has gone. In a café with Mary-Jane, the spider sense returns in the nick of time. A car smashes through the window and he dives with her out of the way -- just.

It is here that Dr. Octopus kidnaps Mary-Jane in return for Spider-Man. Shortly a fight ensues ... an excellent fight where the mask comes off.

This is an awesome movie, with humor as well as action and Peter facing his Aunt and telling her it is because of him that his Uncle died. Tear jerker moment.

Oswald still wants to avenge his father's death and Dr. Octopus delivers Spider-Man wrapped in chains. He takes off the mask and is so shocked to discover the truth that he is knocked backward.

Nearing the end of the movie, Oswald sees his father in the mirror, his father demands vengeance but Oswald refuses and throws the dagger into the mirror, it shatters, opening a secret room where he sees all the things from part one, the green suit, the potion that can change him into what his father was.

Whether or not he takes this, we are left hanging ... I smell a part three.

There is so much going on in this movie that I fear part 3 (if it happens) will be crap like matrix 3.

Yet, this is a must see movie. Must see.
